The show ended after four seasons, with its two-part finale scheduled for May 13 and May 20, 2025.
What the cast shared after the cancellation
Vinessa Vidotto reflected on four years and life in Hungary
Vidotto, who played FBI Special Agent Cameron Vo, called the experience “FBI: International. What. A. Wild ride,” in an Instagram post quoted by TV Insider on March 15, 2025. She wrote: “Four years. Ten-plus countries. Wow. Never did I think this would be my life. I’ve lived in Hungary longer than L.A. Like, what?! If someone told me that, I wouldn’t believe it.”

She also thanked viewers and described the experience of playing Vo as “challenging and beautiful.” Vidotto wrote that learning on set for 10 months a year had been an intense learning experience, and closed by saying, “I needed this chapter. I’m filled with gratitude. And now it’s time to graduate and grow, again.” She recalled meeting viewers in unexpected places, including a post office and a Ferris wheel.
Eva-Jane Willis thanked the people behind the show
Willis, who played Europol agent Megan “Smitty” Garretson, remembered both the cast and the wider crew. In an Instagram message quoted by TV Insider, she wrote: “There are no words. So many fantastic friendships on screen and off. So many countries. So many adventures. Loved every minute.” She thanked “all the people who worked their asses off and made this possible,” calling them “Legends all,” and wished them “Love and prosperity.”

Why was FBI: International canceled?
CBS has not provided a cancellation reason in the sources available here. In June 2025, cocreator Derek Haas told TVLine, as reported by TV Insider, that he was sad about the decision and had “no insight” into why CBS canceled the series. He also said he had loved Jesse Lee Soffer as Wes and considered him a dynamic addition to the Season 4 cast.
So the cast goodbyes and Haas’s reaction do not establish a network rationale. CBS’s April 2024 renewal announcement reported that the show averaged 7.22 million viewers based on Nielsen Most Current data, and more than 9.6 million in multiplatform Live+35 viewing across linear and streaming, up 6% from the prior year. Those are historical season-to-date figures in a renewal announcement, not evidence of why CBS later canceled the series. CBS’s April 9, 2024 renewal release contains those measurements.

When did FBI: International end?
CBS canceled the drama after four seasons; TV Insider reported on March 15, 2025, that the decision had come earlier that month. CBS had renewed it for a fourth season in April 2024. The renewal announcement and the cancellation report establish that sequence.
The series finale was a two-part event scheduled to air May 13 and May 20, 2025, according to CBS episode material. That release also described Paramount+ availability under the subscription terms at the time; it does not establish whether the series is currently available there.
