Fallout Season 1 premiered on Prime Video on April 10, 2024. The apparent April 11 discrepancy comes from an earlier Amazon announcement; the completed season arrived as a single eight-episode release.
Why do some listings say April 11?
Amazon’s December 2, 2023 trailer announcement, updated March 7, 2024, advertised April 11 as the premiere date. Later official coverage and Prime Video’s Season 1 episode listings give April 10 as the actual release date. In its April 12 recap, About Amazon Australia said all eight episodes had premiered on April 10; the Prime Video season page also lists the episodes with that date.

So April 11 was an earlier advertised date, not a second day on which another set of episodes became available. The official sources establish the change in dates but do not explain why it changed.
What is the series about?
The television series is set in the Fallout video game universe, rather than being described in Amazon’s materials as a direct retelling of one particular game. Its premise takes place 200 years after an apocalypse: residents of luxury fallout shelters emerge into a violent, unfamiliar surface world. Amazon’s series announcement provides the franchise and story context.
