How long were they together?
There is no single agreed duration in their public accounts. In a 2009 interview on The Tyra Show, 50 Cent described the relationship as lasting “about a year,” then distinguished a shorter romantic stretch—“like a month”—from the rest of the year, when they continued going back and forth. Fox said in 2016 that they dated for less than six months and that the public story continued “on and off” for years.

Why did they break up?
Fox later said they went public too quickly, which contributed to the split. That is her explanation; the available account does not establish a complete, mutually agreed explanation from both of them. 50 Cent discussed the breakup on Watch What Happens Live in 2015, but Bravo’s accessible recap does not provide a complete transcript, so it does not support attributing a more detailed motive to him. Did they reconnect after the breakup?
In 2009, 50 Cent said they had become friends again and invited Fox to appear in the video for “Do You Think About Me.” He described the song as being about relationships that did not work and said, “I called her.” The appearance documents a creative collaboration and friendly reconnection, not a renewed romance. Would Vivica A. Fox get back together with 50 Cent?
No, according to what Fox said publicly in 2016. She said she would always have a special place in her heart for him, but ruled out getting back together: “But no, that ship has sailed.” She also said that caring about someone does not necessarily mean the two are right for each other. What has Fox said about the relationship since?
Fox returned to the subject in a 2021 sit-down interview, later recapped by VladTV in 2024. Her 2018 memoir, Every Day, I’m Hustling, offers a broader view of her life and perspective, but it should not be treated as proof of details that the public interviews do not establish.
