Mickey’s father, Wes (W. Earl Brown), is described in the same CBS preview as an ex-con and off-the-grid marijuana grower, adding another complicated family thread to the crime drama.
Is Sheriff Country a Fire Country spinoff?
Yes. CBS calls Sheriff Country an expansion of the Fire Country universe. The clearest connection is Mickey’s stepsister, Sharon Leone (Diane Farr), a Cal Fire division chief familiar to viewers of the original series. The shared setting and characters connect the shows, but that does not mean every episode is a crossover.
