Netflix confirms that Shelfo plays Madison and lists her among the cast returning for Season 3, but that later casting does not establish what she said about Season 2.
What is known about the Season 2 claim?
The headline frames Shelfo as wanting to come back for Season 2, but the original interview containing that statement has not been verified. There is no confirmed verbatim quote from Shelfo supporting the wording, so it should be treated as an unconfirmed headline claim rather than a substantiated interview quote.

A surfaced line about the joy of returning to see Anna belongs in context to Lana Condor, not Shelfo. It cannot be used as evidence for the claim about Shelfo. A separate TheWrap interview with Anna Cathcart and showrunner Jessica O’Toole discusses Season 2, but does not verify Shelfo’s statement.
Who does Jocelyn Shelfo play?
Netflix identifies Jocelyn Shelfo as Madison in its official Season 2 guide.

Is Shelfo returning to XO, Kitty?
Netflix’s current Season 3 cast guide lists Shelfo among the returning cast. That confirms her later participation in the series; it does not independently confirm the specific Season 2 statement raised in the headline.

Netflix says Season 2 premiered on January 16, 2025. The season ends with Kitty receiving a renewed scholarship to return to KISS for senior year, according to the Netflix season guide. Season 2 is therefore a completed, released season—not an upcoming one.

XO, Kitty is connected to the To All the Boys film franchise, based on Jenny Han’s novels; TheWrap describes that relationship in its Season 2 interview coverage. That franchise background does not provide evidence about Shelfo’s interview claim.
