Tom Holland’s fourth Spider-Man film is Spider-Man: Brand New Day, scheduled to open in theaters on July 31, 2026, according to Sony’s official film page and Associated Press reporting. Sony says the story takes place four years after Spider-Man: No Way Home, with Peter Parker fighting crime in a world that has forgotten him.
What is Spider-Man 4 called?
The official title is Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Sony describes it as the fourth film featuring Tom Holland as Spider-Man. The title was revealed at Sony’s CinemaCon presentation, as reported by TheWrap.
When does Spider-Man: Brand New Day come out?
Sony’s current film page identifies the movie as a 2026 release, and the Associated Press reports a theatrical opening date of July 31, 2026. The AP’s report gives that date. Earlier coverage included a July 24 date before the later July 31 date was reported; July 31 is the current date cited here.
What is the story about?
The story is set four years after No Way Home. Doctor Strange’s spell left the world unaware of Peter Parker, and Peter gave up his relationships with MJ and Ned. Sony’s synopsis says Peter now fights crime full-time while his former friends move on with their lives. The isolation and pressure provoke a change in him that he may not be able to control, as an unseen threat emerges. Sony sums up the emotional premise this way: “The world may have forgotten Peter Parker, but he hasn’t forgotten them.” (Sony Pictures)
