The MCU’s White Tiger is Hector Ayala, a New York vigilante introduced in Daredevil: Born Again. His niece Angela del Toro is part of the series, and an April 2026 report says she takes possession of Hector’s amulet in season 2 episode 2. In Marvel Comics, White Tiger is a legacy identity shared by Hector, Angela, and Ava Ayala—but the comics’ succession does not confirm what the MCU will do next.
Who is White Tiger in the MCU?
Hector Ayala is the White Tiger in Daredevil: Born Again. Marvel describes the series as a New York story in which Matt Murdock, a lawyer with heightened abilities, pursues justice while Wilson Fisk seeks political power. Marvel lists the series’ season 1 release date as March 4, 2025. Marvel’s series page
Hector is a vigilante who becomes a client of Matt Murdock’s law firm. His niece, Angela del Toro, also appears in the series. GamesRadar+’s April 1, 2026 report
What happens to Hector’s amulet?
According to GamesRadar+’s April 1, 2026 report, Angela takes Hector’s amulet from Kirsten McDuffie’s office in season 2 episode 2. The report frames this as setting up Angela to inherit the White Tiger mantle. Possession of the amulet is established in that account; it should not be treated as confirmation that Angela has already completed a superhero transformation or taken on the identity in the MCU.

How the White Tiger legacy works in the comics
Marvel’s comics reading list identifies Hector Ayala as the original White Tiger. After Hector’s death, his niece Angela del Toro inherits the amulets and identity; Ava Ayala later becomes White Tiger too. Marvel’s profile of Ava presents the mantle as a family legacy rather than a one-character identity. Marvel’s White Tiger reading list · Marvel’s Ava Ayala profile
That history helps explain why Angela’s amulet matters, but it does not dictate the MCU’s next story. The comics and the television series are separate continuities, and the MCU’s rules for Hector’s amulet have not been established by the comics succession alone.

What do the Tiger Amulets do?
Marvel’s 2025 Marvel Multiverse Role-Playing Game profile says Hector grew up in the South Bronx and found ancient extradimensional Tiger Amulets. It describes the amulets as granting martial-arts mastery and a White Tiger suit and claws. The profile also summarizes the comics history in which Daredevil clears Hector’s name and the amulets pass first to Angela and later to Ava.
