Eva Longoria’s jacket button came undone during her April 6, 2011, appearance on Late Show with David Letterman. She reacted, “You didn’t see anything!”—but the contemporary account describes a near wardrobe malfunction, not confirmed exposure. Longoria was on the show to promote her cookbook, Eva’s Kitchen.
What happened during the interview?
Longoria appeared in a tuxedo-style jacket without a shirt or bra, according to CBS News’s April 7, 2011, account. During the interview, a button on the jacket came undone. The report does not establish that she exposed herself; it characterizes the moment as a near wardrobe malfunction.

The exchange began with Longoria saying, “I wore a tuxedo for you.” Letterman replied, “I guess you did,” then, “Or part of one.” When the button came undone, Longoria said, “You didn’t see anything!” Letterman joked, “Oh lord. We’re going to lose our liquor license, I know it.” These quotations are as rendered in CBS’s report.
Why was Longoria on Letterman?
She was promoting her cookbook, Eva’s Kitchen. Extra’s follow-up places her at an Eva’s Kitchen signing at The Grove the day after the Letterman appearance, where she spoke with Renee Bargh about the jacket button coming undone. The book is relevant as the reason for the interview; its current editions and availability are not established here.

That is a dated historical snapshot, not a current view count or an official analytics record. The surfaced clip was a secondary upload, and its present availability or official status is not established.
