“Naked dress” is fashion shorthand here, not a literal description of exposed skin. The gown’s nude shade and shimmer created the effect, while the reporting characterized the garment as opaque.
How the look relates to Cannes’ 2025 dress rules
For the 2025 festival, Cannes stated that nudity was prohibited on the red carpet and in other festival areas. The Associated Press reported that the festival described the policy as making explicit rules that had long been in effect. The AP also reported that voluminous outfits—particularly long trains that impede movement or theater seating—were not permitted. Black tie and evening wear were required for evening premieres at the Palais’ Grand Théâtre Lumière. Those general rules do not establish that Longoria’s gown violated festival policy, and the reviewed reporting does not say that she was formally cited.

“Nude sequin dress” can describe a similar style when searching for lookalikes, but it should not be taken as the name of the original gown or evidence that the Cannes garment is for sale.
