WWE’s QR-code mystery campaign ended with his return at Extreme Rules on October 8, 2022. Its clearest Easter eggs pointed back to Wyatt’s characters and language—especially the Firefly Fun House, Huskus the Pig Boy, The Fiend, and “let me in.” Many more specific readings of the codes appeared in contemporaneous coverage, but WWE did not publish an official answer key for every clue.
What the White Rabbit campaign revealed
In the weeks before Extreme Rules, QR codes appeared during WWE programming and led viewers to short videos, games, images, and other hidden messages. Jefferson Airplane’s “White Rabbit” played between television segments and at live events, according to a contemporaneous timeline.
WWE’s October 8 retrospective described the campaign this way: “This mysterious persona left clues and messages hidden all over WWE programming with QR codes sending the WWE Universe spiraling down the rabbit hole.” At the end of Extreme Rules, Wyatt appeared with his lantern. The reveal also included human versions of Firefly Fun House characters in the crowd and brief images of The Fiend and a dilapidated Fun House. Wyatt said “Run.” WWE’s retrospective of Wyatt’s return confirms the identity and the broad shape of the reveal.
The clues, in broadcast order
September 19: “Who Killed The World?”
A QR code on Raw opened a Hangman game. It posed “Who Killed The World?” and supplied the answer “You Did.” The page also ended with “Come With Me” and “9:23.” Wrestling-Online’s timeline reported that letters hopping by the rabbit spelled “DEMON”; that is a reported hidden reading, not an official WWE explanation. The contemporaneous clue timeline records these details.

September 30: code, audio, and reported readings
The SmackDown QR-linked page reportedly combined cartoon imagery, a slaughterhouse, Morse code, and audio. Wrestling-Online interpreted elements as pointing to “Azazel Reborn,” a number in the URL as connected to Wyatt’s Mad Hatter skit, and a sign phrase as echoing an earlier Wyatt tweet. These are reported interpretations; the campaign’s eventual Wyatt reveal does not independently confirm each one.
October 3: Samson and Delilah
A Raw QR code led to a page featuring a painting of Samson and Delilah and coordinates for Philadelphia’s Wells Fargo Center, where Extreme Rules was scheduled. The timeline linked the painting to an earlier Wyatt post. The event location is a clear practical clue in the sequence, while the painting’s precise intended meaning was not officially explained.

Why Jefferson Airplane’s “White Rabbit”?
The song was used during the campaign, and its title and rabbit imagery naturally evoke the White Rabbit motif and Alice in Wonderland. The available sources establish the song’s use, but do not provide an official explanation from WWE for choosing it. Treat any more specific claim about the creative intent as interpretation rather than confirmed fact.
