This list distinguishes dates that have passed from upcoming dates, and identifies each source’s level of precision. Disney’s announcements cover Marvel Studios films; Spider-Man: Brand New Day is identified as a Sony Pictures theatrical release.

What to know about the release dates
Avengers: Doomsday is the next upcoming date in this schedule
The Walt Disney Company’s July 25, 2026 Comic-Con announcement states: “Avengers: Doomsday releases exclusively in theaters December 18, 2026.” Disney’s fall-slate report also lists the December date. An older Disney announcement had listed May 1, 2026; that date has been superseded.
Secret Wars has an older dated announcement
May 7, 2027 is the date Disney announced on March 26, 2025. The 2026 announcements reviewed for this schedule do not reaffirm it. Treat it as the latest dated official announcement located, rather than a newly reconfirmed date.

The 2028 announcements have different levels of precision
Disney announced Ghost Rider for 2028 without specifying a day. It gave exact dates for Black Panther 3 and the untitled X-Men film. These are currently announced projects, not a complete guarantee of every MCU film that will eventually reach theaters.
What is not a new MCU movie release
VisionQuest is a Marvel Television series for Disney+, not a theatrical film; Disney’s D23 report schedules its debut for October 14, 2026. Disney also reported that Avengers: Endgame: Encore opened September 25, 2026 and included an exclusive look at Doomsday. That is a theatrical re-release of an existing film, not a new MCU movie.

- The disk has English audio.
Tickets and premium-screen options for Doomsday
Disney’s D23 report says tickets are on sale through Fandango or wherever tickets are sold. Check local listings for showtimes, ticket availability, and the formats offered in your area.
Disney describes Infinity Vision as certification criteria for premium large-format theaters, emphasizing big screens, sharp projection, vivid images, and immersive sound. It does not mean every theater or territory offers the format; confirm availability with the cinema listing before booking. Disney’s CinemaCon report also described the MCU as having 37 films at the time of that 2026 event. That is a dated company-reported count, not a current total.
