Evelyn Beltrán cambió su cuenta de Instagram a privada el 10 de enero de 2023, según informó People en Español. El motivo no quedó confirmado: la cobertura relacionó el cambio con comentarios y acontecimientos en redes, pero Beltrán y Toni Costa no ofrecieron una explicación en ese momento.
Qué ocurrió el 10 de enero de 2023
Horas antes del cambio de privacidad, Beltrán había publicado un mensaje sobre unos regalos enviados desde España por la familia de Toni Costa: «Mis regalitos de España. Gracias por su cariño siempre» y «Os quiero mucho», según People en Español. Al día siguiente, Univision informó que los regalos habían sido enviados por Carmen Lozano, madre de Costa, y describió la misma secuencia: primero el agradecimiento y después el perfil privado.
La proximidad de ambos hechos establece el contexto, no una causa. Ninguna de esas notas confirmó que los regalos, las críticas en redes o una publicación de otra persona provocaran la decisión.
¿Por qué puso privada su cuenta?
La razón no se hizo pública en la cobertura del episodio. People en Español señaló que ni Beltrán ni Costa se habían pronunciado hasta ese momento. Aunque la nota mencionó que algunos usuarios interpretaron un video de Adamari López como una indirecta y que Beltrán tenía detractores, esas reacciones fueron interpretaciones de terceros, no una explicación de Beltrán.

Por tanto, puede afirmarse que el cambio se reportó el 10 de enero de 2023, pero no que se debiera a una polémica concreta. La secuencia temporal por sí sola no demuestra causalidad.
Qué dijo Beltrán en pausas posteriores
Enero de 2024
En enero de 2024, Beltrán volvió a Instagram después de tomarse unas semanas para desconectarse. El Diario NY reprodujo su mensaje: «necesitaba un tiempo para desconectar de las redes por un ratito». También citó su reflexión: «Aprendí que es mejor guardar muchas cosas en mi vida PRIVADAS». Esas palabras se refieren a una pausa posterior; no explican retrospectivamente el cambio de enero de 2023. La misma nota describió especulaciones de usuarios sobre imágenes con Costa, que tampoco confirman una ruptura ni el motivo de la decisión anterior: El Diario NY.

En febrero de 2024, Beltrán compartió un Reel con palabras de Patricia Corcino sobre reservar la felicidad y poner límites a la exposición pública. People en Español atribuyó ese fragmento a Corcino, no a Beltrán, por lo que no debe leerse como una declaración directa sobre el cambio de 2023: People en Español.
En octubre de 2024, Beltrán habló de otra ausencia temporal y respondió a una seguidora: «Una relación jamás nos define como persona, más el amor propio que nos damos, por eso me tomo el tiempo y cuando necesito me alejo». La nota indicó que no especificó si esa pausa obedecía a una ruptura, a necesitar tiempo para sí misma o a otra razón: People en Español.

- Confirmado por la cobertura: People en Español informó que la cuenta pasó a ser privada el 10 de enero de 2023; Univision corroboró la secuencia de los regalos y el cambio.
