Haim’s custom ceremony gown was designed by Nicolas Ghesquière, Louis Vuitton’s women’s creative director and a friend of the musician. Vogue reported that Haim brought a Pinterest board of dresses from Ghesquière’s past work to a design lunch. He sketched ideas for her and her sisters, and Haim told him she wanted something “voluminous and dramatic.” Vogue later documented her final fitting at the Louis Vuitton atelier in Paris in November 2025.

Why did Haim want a dramatic ballroom gown?
Haim connected the look to a childhood fantasy of descending a spiral staircase in a giant ballroom gown. She recalled imagining that her future husband would be waiting at the bottom to take her hand, and said the scene in Cinderella may have inspired the image.

What did she wear after the ceremony?
For dinner, Haim changed into a separate romantic, drop-waisted lace dress with spaghetti straps. A removable skirt could be taken off to shorten the dress for the after-party.
