Contemporary reports attributed the decision to his demanding creative workload and his stated concern for his mental health—not to a falling-out with Keith Habersberger or Zach Kornfeld.
When did Eugene Lee Yang leave The Try Guys?
On May 22, 2024, Keith Habersberger and Zach Kornfeld announced that the upcoming Try Guys season would be Yang’s last, according to Rolling Stone’s report. The next day, Yang posted a video titled “Love, Eugene.” Tubefilter described it as his official sign-off, and Entertainment Tonight reported that he formally announced his departure.
Yang described his tenure as ten years. The reports establish that the coming season was intended to be his last, but do not identify his exact final episode or verify whether he appeared later.
Why did he leave?
Reports linked Yang’s decision to the amount of time and creative energy his other work required, as well as his stated desire to protect his mental health. In James Hale’s May 23, 2024, Tubefilter report, Yang described himself as “the busiest I’ve ever been in my entire life.”
