Eminem’s “Temporary” video revealed that his daughter, Hailie Jade, was pregnant. Released October 3, 2024, the video shows her give him ultrasound images and a jersey marked “Grandpa”; Hailie confirmed the news on social media afterward.
How the video revealed Hailie Jade’s pregnancy
Near the end of “Temporary,” Hailie presents Eminem with ultrasound images and a jersey bearing the word “Grandpa.” The Associated Press described his reaction as one of shock. The scene turns a family video montage into the announcement: the video appeared October 3, 2024, and Hailie shared the news on social media hours later. The Associated Press reported the reveal and its timing.
Hailie’s post included the caption “Mom & dad est. 2025,” as quoted by AP. The caption confirmed the pregnancy after the video’s release; it was not a present-day announcement.
A family montage around the announcement
The reveal arrives within a tribute to Eminem and Hailie’s relationship. AP describes home videos dating back to 1999, family photographs, and footage from Hailie’s May 2024 wedding. ABC News also covered the video and Hailie’s pregnancy announcement in October 2024: ABC News’ report.

What “Temporary” is about
“Temporary,” featuring Skylar Grey, is from Eminem’s 2024 album The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce). AP characterizes the song as a message to Hailie about his death and his wish to protect her. That subject gives the family footage its emotional context, while the pregnancy reveal comes at the end of the video.
