There is no official likability ranking for Blue Lock’s Team Z. This list is a subjective ranking of the 11 players in the original first-selection cohort, weighing warmth toward others, humor, loyalty, humility, resilience, and the consequences of their choices for teammates. The order favors characters who are both engaging and considerate; it does not treat competitive ruthlessness as an automatic virtue or flaw.
Blue Lock’s official anime introduction describes a Japan Football Union project that brings 300 high-school forwards together to create the world’s best striker, with elimination and national-team eligibility at stake. That pressure helps explain why Team Z’s members can be selfish, cooperative, or both. Kira is not included: he appears in the opening setup but is not part of the original Team Z cohort. How this Team Z ranking works
Likability is not the same as skill, screen time, or entertainment value. I rank the characters by the balance of their warmth, humor, loyalty, humility, resilience, and impact on the people around them. A player’s competitive edge can make a match thrilling without making that player easy to like. Official character profiles help establish traits and arcs; comments from voice actors are their own impressions, not canon verdicts.
Team Z members ranked by likability
1. Okuhito Iemon
Iemon comes across as one of the most consistently considerate members of the group. Voice actor Ryunosuke Watanuki describes him as cooperative, thoughtful in how he speaks, and encouraging toward teammates. That steadiness may not be as flashy as a goal or a dramatic awakening, but it matters in a team under pressure: Iemon’s appeal is that he makes other people feel supported.

2. Yoichi Isagi
Isagi’s strongest likability trait is his willingness to learn from what happens around him. The official profile describes his growing spatial awareness and ability to detect “the smell of a goal,” as well as his development into a “genius of adaptability.” He is ambitious, but his growth depends on observing opponents and teammates rather than pretending he already has every answer. That mix of earnestness and self-revision makes his competitive instincts easier to root for.
3. Meguru Bachira
Bachira is eccentric, free-spirited, and hard to ignore, with dribbling skill to match his unpredictable energy. The official profile also gives his oddness emotional context: childhood isolation shaped him, and his encounter with Isagi helps him reclaim his own ego and grow. His playfulness is charming, while the vulnerability underneath keeps him from feeling like a quirky pose. He lands just below the most reliably considerate characters because unpredictability can be as unsettling as it is fun.

4. Asahi Naruhaya
Naruhaya’s appeal comes from the gap between his mischievous surface and the difficult position he is trying to overcome. Voice actor Daishi Kajita describes him as cute and playful, but also as a struggler facing players with more natural gifts. That underdog quality makes his persistence sympathetic. His likability rests less on being the team’s moral center than on the effort it takes to keep competing when talent seems unevenly distributed.
5. Rensuke Kunigami
Kunigami brings a clear, appealing sense of purpose to Team Z. He is easy to respect as a teammate who takes his ambitions seriously, though his straightforwardness can feel less lively than Bachira’s humor or Iemon’s quiet encouragement. The official anime cast material establishes him as part of Team Z, and the official manga profile search result identifies him as entering Team Z alongside Isagi and Bachira. This placement reflects the impression his story behavior makes, rather than an official profile-based rating.

6. Gin Gagamaru
Gagamaru’s oddness is a major part of his charm. The official profile calls him a “wild child,” highlighting his springy athleticism and unconventional play; voice actor Shugo Nakamura adds that he may be hard to read but is candid in his feelings. He is entertaining without needing to perform a conventional kind of friendliness. He ranks in the middle because his appeal is strong, but less rooted in visible group care than the players above him.
7. Wataru Kuon
Kuon initially has the easy appeal of a gentle, helpful organizer. Voice actor Masatomo Nakazawa describes him as someone who gathers the group and calls him Team Z’s “mom.” That warmth matters, but likability also depends on what a character’s choices do to others. Kuon’s place here weighs his supportive presence against the consequences of his conduct in the story; it is a reminder that a caring manner does not settle the question by itself.

8. Yudai Imamura
Imamura is cheerful and self-assured, and voice actor Shoya Chiba describes him as not unpleasantly flirtatious. Chiba also points to the way Imamura openly reacts when a teammate makes a good play, which gives him a more supportive side than a simple “ladies’ man” label would suggest. He is easy company, though the evidence for deeper resilience or sacrifice is less prominent than it is for some of the others.
9. Hyoma Chigiri
Chigiri’s story gives him one of the clearest resilience arcs in the group. The official profile describes how a serious injury left him afraid to run at full speed, and how Isagi’s encouragement helps him decide to follow his passion again. That renewed self-belief is compelling and sympathetic. He sits lower on a likability list because his reserve and focus can make him less openly warm than the more sociable members—not because his determination is any less admirable.

10. Gurimu Igarashi
Igarashi’s playful “never-give-up” attitude gives him comic energy, and the official profile notes his cunning approach to surviving selection. But tenacity and likability do not always point in the same direction: a character can be funny or resourceful while still testing the audience’s patience. Voice actor Aoi Ichikawa has said Igarashi can be annoying, an unusually direct performer perspective that fits his divisive appeal. He is memorable, but not the easiest teammate to warm to.
11. Jingo Raichi
Raichi’s intensity can be useful to his team, but his aggression and rough play make him the hardest member here to like. The official profile acknowledges both his abrasive personality and the way his intensity can inspire teammates. Voice actor Yoshitsugu Matsuoka describes him as passionate and emotionally relatable, which helps explain why some viewers may respond to the rawness beneath the bluster. Still, passion is not the same as consideration, and Raichi’s forceful style creates more friction than warmth.

The middle of the list is especially dependent on what a viewer values. Someone who prefers comic unpredictability could put Gagamaru or Igarashi higher; a viewer who values emotional recovery might move Chigiri upward. Kuon’s case turns on how much weight to give a supportive demeanor versus the impact of his choices. Those are differences in emphasis, not contradictions about an official canon order—none exists.
