Reba McEntire used her steal to bring Preble onto her team—and he said he was “over the moon.”
Why Reba McEntire stole Edward Preble
McEntire said she had liked Preble from the beginning. She praised his humor and his passion for a genre she described as one that relatively few people take up. “It’s going to be fun working with him,” she said. The transcript of their exchange also captures the pair embracing and saying they were glad to work together.

Preble’s reaction to the steal
Preble said, “I’m over the moon right now.” He added that he felt like he had to “jump around for a little bit.” His excitement followed a tense turn: Bublé had selected the other artist in the Knockout, leaving Preble available for McEntire to save.
What is confirmed about the episode
The transcript records McEntire pressing her steal and welcoming Preble to her team. Its filename identifies the material as Season 26, episode 13, but that filename is not official episode metadata. NBC’s official The Voice page provides general Season 26 context; the material available there does not independently confirm this specific steal or its episode number. No air date is established here.
