Bread in Common is at 43 Pakenham Street in Fremantle. The restaurant says it opened in 2013 in a restored, heritage-listed former pharmaceutical warehouse built in 1898. Its focus is communal dining, shared dishes, seasonal and local produce, and handcrafted bread. Bread in Common’s own description sets out that identity. What does the current menu offer?
The restaurant’s Food Menu 2026 lists a chef-curated four-course “feed me” menu for $80 per person, alongside separately priced dishes. Examples on that menu include saffron gnocchi at $34, market fish at $45 and bread-and-butter pudding at $20. The set menu covers bread and butter, grazing plates, seafood, mains, cheeses and desserts. These are listed prices on the 2026 menu; dishes and prices may change, so check the current menu before you go.
The menu says prices include GST and that a 15% surcharge applies on public holidays. It asks guests to tell staff about allergies or dietary requirements, but says the restaurant cannot guarantee dishes are free of allergen traces. If that matters to your meal, contact the venue before booking.

Can we say whether it is as good as it has always been?
Not with confidence. A current menu and selected recent online reviews can indicate what the restaurant offers and how some recent guests felt, but they do not provide a comparable historical review series or a controlled assessment over time.
