Drake did tour Australia in 2025, but the “imminent” announcement rumour dates to 2024 and was not confirmation. He performed in four Australian cities before four remaining Australia and New Zealand shows were postponed and later cancelled. As of 8 October 2026, the sources reviewed do not establish a newly announced Australian tour.
Where did the “imminent” Australia tour rumour come from?
On 12 November 2024, PerthNow reported that Drake had shared an Instagram throwback showing him in front of the Sydney Opera House. The post’s caption, as quoted by PerthNow, was “It’s been like 7 years 👀👀👀”. It prompted speculation about a return, but it named no dates or venues. PerthNow also said there had been no official word on an Australia return at that time. PerthNow’s November 2024 report

The “imminently” framing came from a prediction attributed to tour-prediction website What’s Lively: PerthNow reported a 99 per cent prediction of a tour announcement, expected in early to mid-2025. That figure was a website’s forecast, not a measured probability or an announcement by Drake, his representative, or a promoter. Its predicted window has passed.
Did Drake actually tour Australia?
Yes. In 2025, Drake performed in Perth, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane as part of the Anita Max Win tour. ABC described it as a 16-show tour and as his first Oceania tour since 2017. ABC News’ report on the 2025 tour

Has Drake announced another Australia tour?
The sources reviewed for this article do not establish a new Australian tour announcement as of 8 October 2026. That is not proof that no announcement has appeared through any promoter, venue or ticketing channel. Treat a date as confirmed only when it is published by an official artist or promoter source and supported by venue and authorised ticketing information.

How to check a future tour announcement
- Look for a dated announcement from Drake’s official channels or the named promoter.
- Verify the city, venue and date against the venue’s event listing.
- Use the authorised ticket seller linked by the artist, promoter or venue; a resale listing does not establish that an event is confirmed.
- Keep predictions and social-media hints separate from confirmed event details.
