There was no verified regular chapter schedule for Dragon Ball Super in 2025. A July 2025 report attributed to manga editor Victory Uchida said the series would not return to its usual publication rhythm that year, based on a fan’s account of speaking with him at an event. The confirmed 2025 dates are for collected volumes: Japan’s Volume 24 and the English-language Volume 23.
Was Dragon Ball Super manga scheduled to return in 2025?
No regular chapter schedule or return date for 2025 was established. On July 16, 2025, MeriStation reported that Victory Uchida, a manga editor, told a fan at Jump Victory Carnival on July 13 that the series would not resume its usual publication rhythm during 2025. This is a report of a fan’s conversation with Uchida, not a Shueisha schedule announcement or a direct official statement: MeriStation’s report.
That update does not establish when serialization will resume after 2025. The reviewed sources do not provide a month-by-month chapter calendar or a confirmed date for a next chapter.
Confirmed Dragon Ball Super release dates in 2025
The dates below are for collected books, not new chapter installments. The Japan and English-language releases are different editions and have different volume numbers.
#1 Best Overall
| Edition | Volume | Release date | Format and details |
|---|---|---|---|
| Japan | 24 | April 4, 2025 | Print and digital editions listed by Shueisha; the print listing gives 200 pages and ISBN 978-4-08-884493-0. Shueisha’s Volume 24 listing; V Jump’s release notice. |
| English | 23 | April 29, 2025 | Paperback, ISBN 978-1-9747-5281-2. VIZ’s Volume 23 listing. |
These dates should not be read as competing release dates for the same book: Volume 24 is the Japanese edition, while Volume 23 is the English-language edition. Neither date confirms a new chapter’s publication.
