Yes—in practice, though the series does not establish an explicit “I forgive you” moment. After Amber’s death, Wilson pulls away from House and questions what the friendship is doing to his life. By the finale, he chooses to spend his remaining months with House. Their reunion makes forgiveness a reasonable reading of the ending, but it is shown through Wilson’s actions rather than a stated declaration.
Why Wilson’s friendship with House breaks
The rupture follows Amber’s death in the Season 4 finale, “Wilson’s Heart.” House’s recovered memory of the bus accident reveals the connection between the crash and Wilson’s girlfriend. Apple TV’s synopsis describes the accident as testing House and Wilson’s friendship and threatening to change their lives (Apple TV: “Wilson’s Heart”).

In “Dying Changes Everything,” the Season 5 premiere, eight weeks have passed since Amber’s death. Wilson is still mourning, and Apple TV describes his relationship with House as shattered (Apple TV: “Dying Changes Everything”). The conflict is not simply whether Wilson blames House for the tragedy; it is also whether he can remain close to someone he sees as destructive in his life. Apple TV’s Season 5 overview frames that question as central to Wilson’s decision about their friendship (Apple TV: House, Season 5).
Does the series show Wilson forgiving him?
It presents reconciliation as difficult rather than immediate. In a 2008 TV Guide interview, Robert Sean Leonard, who plays Wilson, said, “Even if he doesn’t blame House, it’s still heartbreaking. Wilson just wants to move on.” Leonard also cautioned that the issues between the characters would not simply be brushed aside: “They’re not easy to deal with” (TV Guide: “Can House’s Wilson Forgive and Forget?”). Those comments describe the characters’ situation and the coming season, not a definitive account of the finale.

The clearest evidence of where Wilson ultimately stands comes at the end of the series. After House fakes his death, Wilson realizes House is alive. House asks how Wilson wants to spend his last five months, and the two ride away together. CBS News’ finale report describes that closing choice (CBS News: “House finale: Does Dr. House make it in the end?”).

Wilson’s decision to stay with House is a practical reconciliation: he chooses House’s company despite their painful history and the limited time he has left. The ending supports saying Wilson forgives House in that sense. It does not, on the available episode accounts, establish that Wilson says the words “I forgive you.” The distinction matters: the story resolves their relationship through a choice to be together, not through a quoted forgiveness speech.
