The song was part of the tour’s rotating, city-connected cover segment—not a track on Lipa’s Radical Optimism album. The available sources identify the performance as taking place in Australia but do not establish its exact date or venue.
Which AC/DC song did Dua Lipa sing?
She covered “Highway to Hell,” AC/DC’s 1979 hard-rock classic. In a 2025 Variety interview, Lipa said the band chose the song together while preparing covers for Australia. She recalled that it felt “mad and crazy”—a fittingly high-energy choice for a tour set built around her own pop catalogue.
The cover was a live tour performance, not a new studio release. It should not be confused with the album Radical Optimism, which the tour supported. Official Charts described the show as combining the album’s material and Lipa’s earlier hits with a cover drawn from the host city’s musical context.
Why did the tour include changing covers?
Lipa told Variety that she proposed performing a different song each night after enjoying a previous performance with Chris Stapleton at the American Country Music Awards. She said the idea grew into a team effort involving her band and touring crew. The Australia choice was AC/DC; in other cities, the rotating segment could spotlight a different artist connected to the location.

How often was “Highway to Hell” performed?
Setlist.fm’s Radical Optimism Tour cover statistics lists “Highway to Hell” once. That is a useful cross-check, but setlist.fm is a community-maintained concert database, not an official tour record. The sources available establish an Australian performance but do not pin down the specific show.
