No. Dragon Ball Super Volume 24 confirms that a new collected volume was published; it does not confirm that regular manga serialization has resumed or that another chapter is scheduled. Official announcements establish the volume’s release and contents, but leave the manga’s future unresolved.
What Volume 24 confirms
The Japanese edition of Dragon Ball Super Volume 24 went on sale April 4, 2025. The official Dragon Ball announcement says it closes the SUPER HERO arc and includes an untold story set after the Red Ribbon Army battle. Shueisha’s S-MANGA listing gives the same Japanese release date.
Those details describe a collected volume and what readers will find in it. They are not an announcement of a new chapter, a return to regular serialization, or a subsequent volume.
Japanese and English editions have different release dates
| Edition | Format and language | Release date | ISBN-13 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Japanese edition, Shueisha | Japanese; format not stated in the cited S-MANGA listing | April 4, 2025 | 978-4-08-884516-8 |
| English edition, VIZ | Paperback, English | March 3, 2026 | 978-1-9747-6224-8 |
The English edition’s publication date is listed by VIZ, which credits the story to Akira Toriyama and the art to Toyotarou. A later English paperback date does not indicate that Japanese serialization has restarted.

Why the spine-art comment is not a continuation announcement
In an official interview about Volume 24, Toyotarou discussed how the characters featured on volume spines are selected and drawn several volumes ahead. He said: “The characters appearing on the spine art are decided and drawn several volumes in advance, so I hadn’t thought that I’d end up in a situation where the front cover features powerhouses and the spine art features a total weakling… Incidentally, I’ve already drawn the future spine art characters, which I hope everyone will get to see soon.”
The remark is specifically about spine illustrations. Having future spine art drawn does not establish that new chapters are scheduled or that regular serialization has resumed.

What the hiatus and one-shot announcements establish
An official V Jump article from April 2024 said that, until the manga returned to start its new story, the magazine would feature Toyotarou illustrations and commentary along with special features about the SUPER HERO arc. That documents a hiatus at that time; it is not a current status update.
A later official Jump Festa report announced a one-shot for the April 2025 issue of V Jump explaining why Trunks and Goten wanted to become heroes. A one-shot is a separate story announcement, not confirmation that regular serialization has restarted.

Do the 2026 anime projects mean the manga is returning?
No such conclusion follows from the anime announcements. Official 2026 announcements concern Dragon Ball Super: Beerus and Dragon Ball Super: The Galactic Patrol. They are anime projects, not confirmation of a manga chapter or serialization schedule. The official announcement should be read as news about those anime projects.

The official material cited here does not announce either a permanent ending or a confirmed continuation of regular manga serialization. It establishes that Volume 24 was released, describes its contents, records a hiatus statement from April 2024, and reports a later one-shot. It does not settle whether regular serialization has resumed or when another chapter or volume will appear.
