For example, the official site’s Cabba character feature, published July 6, 2021, says he first transforms into a Super Saiyan while fighting Vegeta and identifies his first appearance as *Dragon Ball Super* Chapter 8. It does not name a Super Saiyan 8.

Broly: Super Saiyan and Super Saiyan Full Power
The Dragon Ball Official Site’s Broly character feature, published March 22, 2022, describes Broly transforming into a Super Saiyan after Paragus’s death and later reaching Super Saiyan Full Power in *Dragon Ball Super: Broly*. It also discusses the Great Ape power Broly can use in his regular body. The feature names those abilities; it does not call any of them Super Saiyan 8.

The name appears in fan-created material. A search result from the user-edited Dragon Ball Updates Wiki labels Super Saiyan 8 as fan-made, but the page itself was inaccessible. How to tell an official form from a fan-made one
- Check the source and continuity. Look for an official franchise publication or an explicitly identified manga, anime, film, or game source.
- Check the exact name. A transformation being powerful or numbered by fans does not establish that the franchise officially uses that name.
- Keep fan works distinct. Fan-created concepts can circulate widely online, but they remain separate from official material unless an official source establishes otherwise.
