Here are the announced U.S. theatrical dates and windows for Pixar films and selected Disney releases, checked October 8, 2026. Pixar’s announced slate reaches November 2029. Exact dates are included where Disney has announced them; month- or year-only windows are labeled as such, and future plans can change.
Pixar movie releases in 2024 and 2025
| Film | Release information | Status and notes |
|---|---|---|
| Inside Out 2 | 2024 | Pixar’s official filmography gives the year, not an exact date. Disney’s earlier schedule listed June 14, 2024 as a planned date; that schedule alone does not establish the final release date. |
| Elio | 2025 | Pixar’s official filmography gives the year, not an exact date. An earlier Disney schedule listed June 13, 2025 as planned; it should not be treated as the final date. |
Pixar’s filmography is a reliable reference for film titles and years, but it does not provide exact release days for these two films on the page reviewed: Pixar feature films. The older planned dates appear in a Disney earnings presentation and are not a substitute for a verified release record.

Pixar and Disney theatrical releases in 2026
| Film | U.S. theatrical date | Studio and release type |
|---|---|---|
| Hoppers | March 6, 2026 | Disney and Pixar original animated comedy |
| Toy Story 5 | June 19, 2026 | Pixar feature; Disney describes its story as “Toy meets Tech” |
| Cars (20th Anniversary) | September 4, 2026 | Anniversary theatrical re-release, not a new feature |
| Moana | July 10, 2026 | Disney live-action reimagining; not a Pixar film |
Disney’s spring 2026 schedule lists Hoppers. Its summer 2026 schedule gives the dates for Toy Story 5 and the live-action Moana. Disney’s Cars anniversary announcement identifies the September date as a theatrical re-release.
Announced Pixar movies for 2027 and beyond
| Film | Announced U.S. theatrical date or window |
|---|---|
| Gatto | March 5, 2027 |
| Ghost Market | March 2028; no exact day announced |
| Incredibles 3 | June 16, 2028 |
| Coco 2 | November 21, 2029 |
Disney’s D23 coverage announced these Pixar projects and their schedule details: Disney Entertainment Showcase 2026. The official Disney movie index specifies November 21, 2029 for Coco 2. Ghost Market has only a month and year announced, so a day-specific listing would be premature.

Other Disney studio releases are not Pixar films
Disney releases films from multiple studios and labels, so a Disney theatrical calendar is broader than Pixar’s slate. For example, the Disney movie index lists The Bluey Movie for August 6, 2027, Ice Age: Boiling Point for February 5, 2027, and Frozen 3 for November 24, 2027. These are Disney-distributed or Disney-studio entries, not Pixar titles. Check the official Disney movie index for its wider schedule.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. How to read the dates
- Exact date: A day, month, and year are stated for the announced U.S. theatrical schedule.
- Month or year only: The studio has not announced a more precise date in the cited material; do not infer one.
- Historical planned date: An older schedule records what was planned at the time, not necessarily the final release date.
- Studio label: Pixar releases are distinct from Disney live-action titles and other Disney labels, even when they appear in one Disney calendar.
- Territory: This is a U.S.-focused calendar. The cited official pages do not establish a complete international release schedule.
Future theatrical plans can change. For the latest announced timing, use Disney’s official movie index and its linked film announcements.
