Reporting in 2021 said the network was investigating after Schulz was charged, and later coverage identifies Season 13 as his last. But A&E has not publicly explained his departure, so the allegation’s connection to his exit remains unconfirmed.
What happened in 2021?
Entertainment Weekly reported that the Orange County District Attorney’s Office confirmed one count of misdemeanor domestic violence battery in connection with an April 30, 2021 incident involving Passante. The report said Schulz left before police arrived and was not arrested at the scene. A charge is an accusation, not a finding of guilt. Entertainment Weekly reporting via Yahoo Entertainment

Schulz’s attorney, Benjamin Arsenian, later denied that Schulz pushed or made contact with Passante, according to TMZ. That report also said Schulz pleaded not guilty and that a trial was scheduled for July 12, 2021. TMZ’s June 2021 report
Did A&E investigate or fire him?
On May 21, 2021, TMZ reported that A&E had opened an investigation and that Schulz’s future on Storage Wars was undecided. The report attributed those details to unnamed sources close to production; it was not a public A&E announcement. TMZ’s May 2021 report

The available public record does not establish that A&E fired Schulz, or that the reported investigation caused his departure. A&E’s cast biography for Schulz identifies him as a cast member but gives no reason for his later absence.
When did Jarrod Schulz leave Storage Wars?
A July 2025 TV Insider retrospective says Schulz’s Season 13 run was his last and that A&E had not commented on why he left. It notes fan speculation about a connection to the allegation, but speculation is not confirmation. TV Insider’s retrospective
