There is no reliable public confirmation that House of the Dragon co-stars Milly Alcock and Fabien Frankel dated. Parade describes the story as a relationship rumor that was never confirmed. That does not establish what may have happened privately; it means the public evidence does not verify a romance.
Why the dating rumor arose
Alcock played young Rhaenyra Targaryen, while Frankel played Ser Criston Cole. Their characters share a romantic storyline in House of the Dragon, which gives fans an obvious reason to wonder whether the actors were together off screen. But a fictional relationship is not evidence of a real one.

In a 2024 interview with Spotlight, Frankel discussed filming an intimacy scene with Alcock. He credited intimacy coordinator Miriam Lucia and director Clare Kilner with helping the actors, saying, “We worked with this lady called Miriam (Lucia) who helped a great deal.” The comment is about the work of staging a scene, not a personal relationship.
What the actors have said about Rhaenyra and Criston
Frankel has also spoken about Ser Criston’s love for Rhaenyra and about discussing the characters’ relationship with Alcock. In The Indian Express, those remarks concern the fictional characters and their story. They do not confirm that the actors dated.

Likewise, TheWrap’s profile of Alcock places her in the context of the HBO series and her role. Professional interviews, on-screen chemistry, and working closely on a romantic scene cannot establish an off-screen romance on their own.

Parade’s 2026 profile of Alcock says she was rumored to have been in a relationship with Frankel, but that the rumor was never confirmed. No on-record statement from either actor confirming they dated appears in the reporting cited here. The careful conclusion is therefore that the relationship remains unconfirmed—not that a private relationship definitely did or did not happen.
