On November 15, 2024, Dave Coulier shared a photo from a chemotherapy appointment and offered encouragement to others undergoing treatment: “And remember to laugh.” His post also sent love to people “battling and going through chemo,” according to Good Morning America.
What Dave Coulier said about remembering to laugh
In the post reported by Good Morning America on November 15, 2024, Coulier wrote: “Putting a positive spin and sending love to all of you who are battling and going through chemo.” He followed that message with, “And remember to laugh,” and a heart emoji.
The words were a personal message of solidarity to people facing chemotherapy. They do not describe a treatment or promise a medical outcome.
What was happening when he shared the post
Good Morning America reported that Coulier had disclosed a non-Hodgkin lymphoma diagnosis on his podcast Full House Rewind on November 13, 2024, two days before the photo. The outlet said he was undergoing chemotherapy and had shaved his head as a “preemptive strike” against treatment-related hair loss.

What the diagnosis does—and does not—tell us
Non-Hodgkin lymphoma is a broad category of cancer that forms in the lymph system, part of the immune system. The National Cancer Institute’s patient information explains that it can be indolent or aggressive and that treatment depends on the type. The diagnosis alone does not establish Coulier’s specific subtype, stage, prognosis, or treatment regimen.

Later coverage is separate from the 2024 post
In a March 31, 2025 follow-up, Good Morning America reported that Coulier had undergone six rounds of chemotherapy by that point and had been hospitalized after contracting rhinovirus following his sixth treatment. That report provides later chronology; it does not establish his current medical status.
