A Scroll.in feature published on May 24, 2022 reported that the family had lived there for 34 years and found a new home in Gurgaon with help from a student’s parents. That report establishes their immediate destination at the time, not where they live now.

Why did the address matter to Dhrupad?
A home that was also a place of learning
Known as the House of Dhrupad from 1988, 379, KP Thakkar block, Asiad Village—also called Khel Gaon—was more than the family residence. Scroll.in’s writers describe students learning and practising Dhrupad there, alongside a household where visitors encountered music, food, teaching and conversation. Their account presents the move as the loss of a treasured link with the past and of a significant gathering place for Dhrupad in the capital.

A link in the Dagarbani lineage
Wasifuddin Dagar learned from his father, Nasir Faiyazuddin Dagar, and uncle, Nasir Zahiruddin Dagar. The feature places the home within that family teaching tradition and a wider musical community. It also describes Dagar musicians moving among cities as patterns of patronage changed. The departure of one family from one address should not be mistaken for the departure or end of Dhrupad in Delhi.
How does the 2020 notice fit the story?
A later Indian Express feature published on September 25, 2025 reports that Dagar was among artists sent notices to vacate government accommodation in 2020. It says the government cited a 2014 policy change that phased out housing quotas for artists and several other groups. This is the policy context reported by the newspaper; the policy text itself is not established here.
