Okarun is unsettled by how close Momo and Jiji seem. At the same time, he begins to appreciate Jiji’s good nature, making the tension more complicated than simple rivalry. The episode’s official synopsis and distributor listings establish this emotional beat, but do not provide a detailed, scene-by-scene account of the investigation.
Why does the episode end on a cliffhanger?
Spoiler: The synopsis ends as the three enter the house while several figures watch them. That image turns the visit into a clear setup for the house mystery rather than a resolution of it. Calling it a cliffhanger is an interpretation of the ending’s function; the available episode descriptions do not identify who the figures are or explain the incident.

Is episode 12 the season finale?
Yes. ORICON’s preview, published December 17, 2024, identified episode 12 as the final episode of the season and reported its Japanese broadcast for Thursday, December 19, 2024, at 12:26 a.m. JST in the Super Animeism TURBO block on the MBS/TBS network. That is a historical broadcast listing, not current streaming availability information.
What is established about the cursed house?
The episode’s premise links the house to an incident involving Jiji’s family, and the watching figures signal danger or a mystery awaiting the visitors. Beyond that setup, the official synopsis and English listings do not establish what happened to the family, who is watching, or how the house’s mystery is resolved. The ending’s strength is its unanswered question: the trio has arrived, but the investigation has only begun.
