What the two SteelBook covers show
The main difference established by the reveal is which character gets the spotlight on the exterior: Deadpool on one cover, Wolverine on the other. Contemporary coverage described previously unseen character art, including Logan in his full costume, and concept art of Wolverine variants Wade Wilson encounters in the film. The studio announcement also says images of each character’s multiple variants appear inside the cases.

The announcement describes the same film in both packages; the reported distinction is cover art, not different movie content. A Best Buy search listing identifies a Deadpool-cover 4K UHD SteelBook, but does not establish its current price or stock: Deadpool-cover 4K SteelBook listing.
When the U.S. editions were released
The U.S. home-video announcement set digital release for October 1, 2024, followed by physical 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD editions on October 22, 2024. The two SteelBooks were among the physical options announced on September 25, 2024; the cover reveal had been reported on September 21. These are historical U.S. dates, not an indication that the editions are newly launching or currently available. Which editions are not the SteelBooks?
The announcement also listed standard 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD editions. A Walmart Blu-ray exclusive had Deadpool Corps pop-up packaging; it is a separate package, not one of the two character-cover SteelBooks. Bonus features may vary by product and retailer, according to the announcement, so check the specific listing rather than assuming every edition has identical extras.
Regional editions should be checked separately.
