It is a vivid event-day snapshot, not a portrait of her typical workday.
A fashion-week day at Ralph Lauren
CULTURED’s September 10, 2026 account follows Hewitt, co-founder of Summer Fridays, as she begins her New York Fashion Week circuit at Ralph Lauren’s Spring/Summer 2027 presentation. The account is structured around the show itself, rather than a full schedule of her business responsibilities.
Before the show: looking for the collection’s idea
Hewitt photographed the venue and read the show notes before the presentation. She explained why: “I love reading the show notes before it begins to see what the inspiration is for what we’re about to see.” The notes gave her a lens for taking in the collection as it appeared.
On the runway: details that caught her eye
Hewitt responded to the clothes’ construction and shape. “This tailoring is exactly why I keep coming back to Ralph Lauren every season. The fit is just so good,” she said, then singled out another look: “This silhouette—the belting, the sleeves—I want to live in it.”

When the designers came out, her reaction was brief and delighted: “And then they walked out. I gasped!” The day’s account ends with dinner at the Polo Bar.
What this snapshot does—and does not—show
The CULTURED feature captures the rhythm of attending a major fashion presentation: arrive, observe the setting, learn the collection’s inspiration, watch for details on the runway, and share an immediate reaction. It does not document Hewitt’s full day, her meetings, or her routine at Summer Fridays, so it should not be read as a representative workday.

A separate 2025 interview with Summer Fridays Director of Brand Marketing Marly Kos describes the marketing team’s work as spanning campaign strategy, launches, social planning, event logistics, product development, and longer-term brand planning. That is context about the team, not a calendar for Hewitt personally. CULTURED’s September 2026 fashion-week account provides the direct record of the day.
Hewitt’s earlier account of her morning routine
In a February 2023 podcast interview, Hewitt described a routine that usually included meditation, gratitude journaling, a little stretching, and drinking water. She also emphasized that a routine is personal, saying, “Those five things might not work for you, but it’s the things that work best for me.” This is her description of her general routine at that time; it is not evidence that she followed those steps on the fashion-week day.

How Summer Fridays fits into her story
Hewitt co-founded Summer Fridays with Lauren Ireland. In a 2023 interview, she said they began working on the brand in 2016 and launched it in 2018. She described audience questions and feedback as influences on how the founders shaped the brand; that is her account of their process, not an independent measure of customer influence.
The Jet Lag Mask is part of that founder story. Hewitt recalled that people advised against launching with it, but that she and Ireland trusted their instincts. A 2025 brand-marketing interview later called it the company’s best-selling Jet Lag Mask, without providing a sales figure. The fashion-week account does not say Hewitt used the mask that day.
