People en Español’s “¡Santo remedio! Doctor Juan en familia” is a family portrait and interview with Puerto Rican cardiologist Juan Rivera, his wife, Ana Raquel, and their three children. Updated October 15, 2020, the profile focuses on the family’s routines and how Rivera balanced home life with medicine, television, and his Santo Remedio work.
A family portrait beyond the doctor’s public roles
The People en Español cover story presents Rivera not only as a cardiologist and television personality, but as a husband and father. Rivera and Ana Raquel described a home life built around time together, including shared meals, sports, vacations, swimming, barbecues, and board games. These are details the family shared in the interview, rather than a broader claim about how they lived outside the period covered by the profile.
The story also shows family members contributing to Rivera’s work at the time. People en Español reported that Ana Raquel helped with clinic administration, while their daughter Ana Sofía handled social media and marketing for Rivera’s brand.
How Rivera’s work fit around family life
In the 2020 profile, Rivera described a demanding schedule that combined patient care, television appearances, and work on Santo Remedio. The story’s central subject is the way those professional commitments sat alongside family routines; it does not establish that the same schedule or roles continue today.

What “Santo Remedio” refers to
The profile mentions Rivera’s Santo Remedio line of supplements and natural products, as well as his book Santo remedio para mujeres. Those are separate references within the profile; its mention of the products is not evidence that they are effective treatments or medical advice.
Univision covered an earlier Santo Remedio book on June 14, 2017, describing it as a collection of home remedies and recipes and reporting that it was available for preorder on Amazon at that time. That segment concerns a distinct book reference and does not establish present-day availability. See Univision’s 2017 report for that earlier announcement.
