Christina Aguilera posted a series of black-and-white bathtub photos on Instagram on February 15, 2018. Contemporary coverage described the images as nude or “naked,” but the singer gave little context, using a water-droplet emoji rather than explaining the shoot’s purpose. The idea that the pictures hinted at a new album was speculation, not a confirmed announcement.
What were Christina Aguilera’s bathtub photos?
E! described a series of black-and-white pictures showing Aguilera in a bathtub, while Yahoo Entertainment reported that she posted three bathtub photographs. Both outlets said the post’s caption was a water-droplet emoji. Neither report identifies the photographer or establishes that the pictures were made for a professional or commercial shoot.
E! News reported on the photos on February 15, 2018, as did Yahoo Entertainment.
Was the photoshoot connected to a new album?
That possibility was raised in contemporary coverage, but Aguilera did not confirm it. E! and Yahoo both treated an album connection as a question or theory tied to a teased album, not as the stated reason for the bathtub photos. The post itself offered no explanation beyond the emoji.

How the February photos differ from her June bathtub post
