During the Paris 2024 Games, Peacock was the most complete U.S. streaming option: NBCUniversal advertised live coverage of every sport and event, including all 329 medal events. Viewers needed a Peacock plan that included live sports, then could sign in and open the Olympics hub. The Games ran July 26 through August 11, 2024, so Paris is no longer available as a live event; Peacock’s current Olympics destination is focused on Los Angeles 2028.
What Peacock showed during Paris 2024
For viewers in the United States, Peacock advertised more than 5,000 hours of live coverage, including every sport and all 329 medal events. The Games featured 39 sports and 329 events. Peacock’s coverage went beyond live feeds: its Olympics hub also offered full-event replays, clips, highlights, NBC programming, and sport-specific pages. These figures and coverage promises describe NBCUniversal’s U.S. offering for Paris 2024, not access in other countries.
Peacock’s Paris 2024 viewing-experience announcement describes the hub’s schedule, search, replays, and Multiview features. NBCUniversal’s coverage announcement details its broader TV and streaming plans.
Which Peacock plan was required?
The essential requirement was a plan with live sports and events. A Peacock account alone was not enough if its tier excluded sports. Premium Plus was not required to access Olympic coverage; it was an optional upgrade, not a separate Olympics package.

How viewers found an event on Peacock
During the Games, NBC’s guide directed Peacock subscribers to PeacockTV.com/Olympics or to the Olympics section in the Peacock app. The practical viewing path was:
- Open Peacock’s website or app, choose a sports-inclusive plan, and create an account or sign in.
- Go to the Olympics hub, either through the app’s navigation or at PeacockTV.com/Olympics.
- Browse the interactive schedule or look for a sport, event, athlete, team, or country.
- Choose a live or upcoming event, replay, or highlight and select it to play.
- For an event you planned to watch later, use the schedule’s My Stuff option where available.
The hub was designed to make a large schedule easier to navigate, rather than requiring viewers to scan a single list of streams. The schedule and event catalog reflected the Paris Games at the time; they are not a promise that every replay remains available now.

Gold Zone and Multiview: two ways to follow simultaneous events
Gold Zone
Gold Zone was a curated whip-around program for viewers who wanted to follow the most important live action without choosing among many concurrent feeds. It ran daily from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Eastern during Paris 2024 and was hosted by Scott Hanson, Andrew Siciliano, Matt Iseman, and Jac Collinsworth. It supplemented full-event coverage rather than replacing it: viewers seeking an entire match or session needed its dedicated feed or replay. Peacock’s Gold Zone guide explains the feature.
Multiview
Peacock offered Discovery Multiview, which put up to four live events on screen with information about what was at stake, as well as traditional Multiview layouts for following multiple feeds. Viewers could change the active screen, switch audio, or open a feed full-screen. Peacock said Multiview was available on smart TVs, streaming devices, browsers, and tablets. It was useful when events overlapped; it did not turn one screen into a substitute for watching a chosen event in full.

Replays, highlights, and special Paris features
The Olympics hub included full-event replays, clips, highlights, NBC programming, and an interactive schedule that could direct viewers to live coverage or replay content. Selected sports, including basketball, golf, and soccer, also had a “Catch Up with Key Plays” feature.
For Paris 2024, Peacock also offered personalized daily recaps narrated using an AI recreation of Al Michaels’ voice. This was a feature announced for those Games, not a claim about a permanent service. See Peacock’s announcement of the Paris recaps.

Watching through a cable or live-TV subscription
During the Games, viewers with an eligible cable, satellite, or live-TV provider could authenticate through NBC’s digital services, including NBCOlympics.com, NBC.com, the NBC app, or the NBC Olympics app. That could avoid a separate Peacock subscription for someone who already had qualifying TV service and provider credentials. Without an eligible login, this route was not useful.
NBCUniversal also distributed coverage across broadcast and cable outlets, including NBC, USA Network, E!, CNBC, GOLF Channel, Telemundo, and Universo. Those channels and primetime programs offered selected coverage; Peacock was the advertised streaming destination for the complete event-level catalog. The exact options depended on the outlet and provider.
Devices and access limits
The 2024 viewing options included web browsers, iPhone and iPad, Android phones and tablets, Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV, Android TV, Chromecast, supported smart TVs, PlayStation and Xbox consoles, and certain provider set-top boxes. Device compatibility changes, so those historical examples do not establish that a particular device or operating-system version works with Peacock today. Check Peacock’s current supported-device list before troubleshooting a current app.
- If the Olympics section is missing, first check that you are signed in and using a plan that includes sports. During an active Games period, updating or restarting the app, trying the web version, or searching for a sport or event could help.
- If clips appear but live events do not, the plan may exclude live sports, the event may have ended, or regional rights may limit access. Availability of replays and highlights can also change.
- If you are outside the United States, the Peacock and NBCUniversal instructions here may not apply; Olympic streaming rights vary by territory.
Can you still watch Paris 2024 live on Peacock?
No. The Paris Games ended on August 11, 2024, and Peacock’s current Olympics page points to the 2028 Los Angeles Games rather than a live Paris destination. The historical steps above explain how the service worked for Paris 2024; they do not establish that the full Paris event catalog remains on demand. See Peacock’s current Olympics page for its present Games destination.
