This historical guide covers titles scheduled to arrive on and leave U.S. Netflix from August 28 through September 3, 2022. The biggest wave of new films was scheduled for September 1; the largest group of departures was scheduled for August 31. Netflix catalogs vary by country, so this list is not a worldwide availability guide.
Notable arrivals that week
The September 1 additions included a broad mix of licensed movies, from Clueless and the Austin Powers trilogy to Despicable Me and A Clockwork Orange. Other releases worth noting included several Netflix-branded films and series, plus new documentary programming.

What was leaving Netflix?
The biggest removal date was August 31, when a group of well-known films and several other titles were scheduled to leave. If you were choosing what to watch first, the high-profile departures included The Dark Knight Rises, The Departed, GoodFellas, and Titanic. The series The Vampire Diaries was listed to leave September 3, while all three listed Mission: Impossible films were scheduled to depart August 31.

How to read this historical schedule
This was a U.S.-focused schedule published in 2022, not a statement about what is available on Netflix now. Netflix says its catalog differs by country and that titles can leave when licensing rights are no longer available, among other licensing considerations. See Netflix’s explanation of regional catalogs and why titles leave Netflix.
Netflix says originals generally launch at 12:00 a.m. Pacific Time, but weekly episodes and titles licensed differently by country may follow other schedules. If a title does not appear when expected, Netflix advises refreshing or restarting the app or browser. The date list should not be read as a guaranteed local midnight cutoff for departures. Check the title page or in-app notice for the relevant market. Netflix also provides ways to find new and upcoming titles and a Remind Me feature for announced releases; dates can change.
