The available reporting does not establish that Simon Cowell and Gordon Ramsay are either friends or enemies. It records a comparison between their television personas and a passing reference to Cowell in an interview with Ramsay—not confirmation of a friendship, feud, or ongoing personal relationship.
What the reporting actually says
A comparison of their television personas
A TV Guide profile of Ramsay compares his on-screen persona to Cowell’s. In the article, Ramsay says of how he pushes contestants, “It’s nothing personal. That’s the way I’ve always worked.” He is describing his approach to contestants, not speaking about Cowell or their relationship.
A passing reference in an interview
In a 2010 Guardian interview, Ramsay was asked about an alleged suggestion from Cowell concerning cosmetic treatment. The question shows that Cowell came up in a light, personal exchange; it does not establish that the two men were close friends or adversaries.
So, are they friends or enemies?
Neither label is confirmed by these accounts. A comparison of their public personas is not evidence of a feud, and a joking or personal interview question does not prove friendship. The cited reporting also does not establish whether they are currently in contact or what their private relationship is like.
