The festival ran April 12–14 and April 19–21 at Empire Polo Club in Indio, California. Here’s what made those appearances distinctive—and how they fit into the wider lineup.
What made Coachella 2024’s lineup distinctive?
Goldenvoice announced the initial lineup on January 16, 2024, with Lana Del Rey, Tyler, the Creator and Doja Cat as headliners. No Doubt was on that original bill, setting up one of the festival’s most notable reunion appearances. The lineup also ranged across pop, Latin music, electronic acts and rock, with artists including Peso Pluma, Ice Spice, Bizarrap, Young Miko, Sabrina Carpenter, Deftones, Carín León, ATEEZ, LE SSERAFIM, Sublime, Blur, J Balvin and Grimes.
The two weekends shared much of the announced program, but not every booking stayed the same. Vampire Weekend was a late addition for the first weekend; Kid Cudi appeared on the second weekend’s Sunday bill in its place.
No Doubt returned as a reunited band
No Doubt’s Coachella reunion brought together Gwen Stefani, Tom Dumont, Tony Kanal and Adrian Young. GRAMMY.com described the festival appearance as the group’s first major show since its last live performances in 2015, making it a return after a long gap rather than simply another festival booking.

Vampire Weekend was a Weekend 1 surprise
Vampire Weekend was not part of the initial announced bill. The band was added late for Weekend 1, with a Saturday 5 p.m. slot on the Outdoor Theatre, according to the Los Angeles Times. The booking came the week after the release of Only God Was Above Us, giving the appearance a fresh-album context.
