Braden “Clavicular” Peters reportedly said he hoped to stop using substances—and that doing so could change how he streams in public. In a video titled “im going sober,” he said he would avoid substances “for a little while, hopefully for forever,” and suggested he might not be able to keep up the same IRL-streaming persona sober, according to Victor Tangermann’s April 17, 2026 report for Futurism. That is his reported view of his own performance, not evidence that streaming requires substances or that he has stopped streaming.
What Clavicular reportedly said about sobriety and streaming
Futurism reported that Peters posted the video on Thursday, April 16, 2026, after a reported hospitalization. In it, he said: “I ain’t going to be doing any more substances for a little while, hopefully for forever.” He also reportedly said he might have to figure something else out because he felt he could not stream the same way sober.
The wording was tentative: he expressed a hope to stop, not a verified long-term outcome. The report does not establish whether he later changed his plans, remained sober, or stopped IRL streaming.
What “unable to mog sober” means
“Mog” is looksmaxxing slang for outdoing someone in perceived appearance or attractiveness. The headline phrase “unable to mog sober” characterizes Peters’s reported concern that he could not sustain the same public-facing persona without substances. It is not a medical assessment or an independently measured fact about his abilities.

An IRL stream is a livestream from real-world settings, rather than a conventional studio or gameplay stream. Futurism connects Peters’s remarks to that format and to his public persona, including his bluntness while streaming. Those details provide context for his comments; they do not establish that substances are necessary for streaming or for looksmaxxing.
What is known about the reported hospitalization
Futurism said Peters had been taken to a hospital after a medical emergency. The report attributed this description of the 911 call to the Miami Police Department, speaking to People: “male experiencing a medical emergency.” It also said the precise cause of the hospital visit was unknown.

That account does not confirm an overdose, establish what caused the emergency, or provide a clinical diagnosis. Speculation about substance use disorder is not a diagnosis, and the report does not establish that Peters received treatment for one.
