Neither quoted post named Ballerini. ELLE reported that the two were not following each other on Instagram at the time and that Ballerini had not responded to Stokes’s comments. The posts did not establish who he meant by “blocked,” who had blocked whom, or the reason.

The posts themselves did not confirm a breakup between Stokes and Ballerini. ELLE reported that a representative for Ballerini had confirmed that the pair split in September 2025. Us Weekly’s November 20, 2025 coverage said they had been seen together in Europe in October and cited sources who said on November 10 that they were giving the relationship another try. Those sightings and anonymous-source reports suggested a possible reconciliation, but did not amount to a direct confirmation from either person.
What did Ballerini say about the earlier split?
At the 2026 Grammy Awards on February 1, Ballerini addressed the earlier breakup in an interview with Entertainment Tonight. As reported by iHeartCountry on February 2, she said, “It looked a lot more dramatic than it was. And that was quite the learning lesson for us.” She also said, “We’ve been together for quite a while now and done a lot of life together.”
