The Los Angeles Times reported on June 11, 2024, that Potter was 40 and quoted Nathalie’s announcement: “Two days ago, on June 8th, my husband, Ben Potter, passed away in an unfortunate accident,” the newspaper reported. Who was Comicstorian?
Comicstorian was Potter’s name as a creator and the identity viewers knew. His videos voiced comic stories and helped explain superhero narratives. The Los Angeles Times described the channel as focused on explaining superhero stories and reported that it had more than 3 million subscribers in its 2024 coverage; that is a historical figure, not a current count.
In a statement quoted by Sky News, Nathalie described him as someone who voiced stories “from across multiple different mediums.” She also wrote: “To his loved ones, he was one of the best and most supportive individuals anyone could ask for.” The Los Angeles Times reproduced another line from her announcement: “As a husband, a son, a brother, a friend, or even just a stranger, Ben was loving and genuine.”
