What Sheen said he had planned
Sheen, then 58, told PEOPLE that he expected to spend Christmas with Max and Bob, who were then 14. He said they were not planning a ski trip, a tropical getaway or a large gathering of relatives. “We are not one of those families that plan a ski trip or the tropical thing,” he said.
He described the intended holiday as “pretty calm, pretty traditional, very sane, very comfortable,” and said he felt bad for people who experience a lot of holiday stress. Those remarks appeared in a PEOPLE interview published December 23, 2023, and syndicated by Yahoo Entertainment.
Who was included in the family context
Sheen shares Max and Bob with his ex-wife, Brooke Mueller. The interview also identifies his daughters Sami and Lola, whom he shares with ex-wife Denise Richards, and Cassandra Jade Estevez, whom he shares with former partner Paula Speert. The Christmas plan described in the story was specifically about spending the holiday with Max and Bob.

What Sheen shared about the twins
Sheen called his sons “really cool, really smart, and really funny.” The story noted that Max plays guitar and that Bob won a horror-movie directing competition at age eight. Sheen said he did not want their interests to be limited to Fortnite.
He also recalled that Max asked for a game gift card while Sheen was at the dentist. Sheen said he was not deeply connected to gaming beyond trying to manage and supervise the boys’ time playing games. These were interview anecdotes, not recommendations of games or gifts.

The interview also touched on Sheen’s work. He said he was ready to return to acting after appearing as himself in two episodes of Chuck Lorre’s comedy series Bookie. Recalling his earlier work habits, he said he had been known for arriving first, leaving last and over-preparing, and that he was excited to be that worker again.
