The animated web series is created by Gooseworx and produced by Glitch Productions; Glitch also says its content is free on YouTube.
What is The Amazing Digital Circus?
The Amazing Digital Circus is an animated web series created by Gooseworx and produced by Glitch Productions. Glitch describes it as a surreal, psychological comedy and classifies its genre as “Surreal Dark Animated Comedy.” Its official description calls it “a surreal, psychological comedy about a bunch of cute cartoon characters that hate their lives and want to leave.” (Glitch Productions)
The premise
Pomni, an ordinary woman, becomes trapped in a virtual reality alongside five other humans. They must contend with a wacky AI and their own personal traumas, according to Glitch’s series description. The cute visual style and dark comedic premise sit side by side rather than canceling each other out.
Did Tatsuki Fujimoto call it his favorite?
The headline’s “favorite” claim should be treated cautiously. Secondary coverage reported that Fujimoto recommended the series, but the sources available do not establish a direct, verifiable statement from the Chainsaw Man creator calling it his favorite. A recommendation and a personal favorite are not the same claim.

For context, a 2024 Spanish-language report was headlined “Creador de ‘Chainsaw Man’ recomienda ver ‘El asombroso circo digital’” (“Chainsaw Man creator recommends watching The Amazing Digital Circus”). That wording supports the narrower idea of a recommendation, not the stronger “favorite” wording. (SensaCine México; see also the CBR story syndicated through IMDb.)

Netflix documented the series’ debut on its English TV list for the week of September 30, 2024. In a report dated October 8, 2024, Netflix placed it at number seven with 3.4 million views for that week. Those are historical figures for that specific list and week, not a measure of current viewership. (Netflix’s Top 10 report.)

Glitch later reported that the show reached the top three in TV during its release week and appeared in the top 10 across multiple countries for several weeks. The page does not identify the countries or precise measurement dates, so those claims should be understood as Glitch’s publisher-reported summary, not as a directly comparable Netflix weekly statistic. Glitch also reports more than 600 million lifetime views across four episodes; the figure is undated on its page and should not be mistaken for a count specific to Netflix or to 2024.
