Shueisha’s Japanese volume 24 identifies chapter 231 as 「さよならポチタ」, literally “Goodbye, Pochita,” and collects it alongside chapter 232. Those facts make chapter 231 a clear point of transition near the conclusion—but they do not, by themselves, establish what happens in its individual scenes or how its final page should be read.
What is confirmed about Chainsaw Man chapter 231?
VIZ lists chapter 231 as published on March 10, 2026, with chapter 232 following on March 24. Shueisha’s Japanese volume 24 contents include both chapters, and give chapter 231 the title 「さよならポチタ」 (“Goodbye, Pochita”). The Japanese collected volume was released in print and digital formats on June 4, 2026.
Those publication details place chapter 231 close to the manga’s conclusion, but they do not make it the ending. The next numbered chapter appeared two weeks later, and Shueisha’s collected volume contains both. Volume 23 ends at chapter 222, so chapter 231 is not part of that earlier collection.
What does the title “Goodbye, Pochita” tell us?
The Japanese title gives the chapter an unmistakably farewell-shaped frame. It invites readers to consider Pochita’s place in the story and what a goodbye might mean at this late stage. But a title is not a scene recap: without verified chapter panels and dialogue, it cannot establish who says goodbye, whether the farewell is literal, or what outcome it signals.

That distinction matters in a series where names, memories, and the disappearance of concepts can carry large consequences. Shueisha’s volume 24 synopsis describes the broader closing conflict in terms of Denji confronting Yoru, demanding Asa’s body back, and a world thrown into chaos as concepts disappear. That is useful context for the volume, not a confirmed account of chapter 231’s exact sequence or emotional beats.
Is chapter 231 the end of Chainsaw Man?
No. VIZ’s chapter list places chapter 232 after chapter 231, on March 24, 2026. Shueisha then collected both chapters in Japanese volume 24, whose publisher description presents the collected story as complete. The most accurate way to describe 231 is as a chapter near the conclusion, followed by the final numbered chapter—not as the final chapter itself.

VIZ’s official chapter listing points readers to MANGA Plus by SHUEISHA for the latest free chapters, while warning that availability depends on location. Access can therefore differ by region and platform. For a collected edition, Shueisha’s verified details apply specifically to the Japanese volume 24: it contains chapters 231 and 232, runs 176 pages, and has ISBN 978-4-08-885051-1. Those details do not confirm the language, availability, or release status of an English-language edition; check the edition information with the retailer in your region.
