Blue Ivy was 13 when she attended the 67th Grammy Awards in Los Angeles on February 2, 2025. In a formal blue gown, she appeared beside her parents and later joined Beyoncé onstage as her mother celebrated a major career milestone: winning Album of the Year for Cowboy Carter.
Why Blue Ivy’s 2025 Grammys appearance stood out
The impression captured by “looked so grown up” came from a clear contrast: Blue was a child at her first Grammy ceremony a decade earlier, and now she was a teenager at one of the night’s most visible moments. Good Morning America reported that she attended her first Grammys in February 2015, at age three, and was 13 at the 2025 ceremony. Her presence beside Beyoncé made the appearance more than a red-carpet fashion moment. Harper’s Bazaar reported that Blue attended with Beyoncé and Jay-Z. When Beyoncé won Album of the Year, Blue joined her mother onstage.
What Blue Ivy wore to the 2025 Grammys
ELLE identified Blue’s look as a blue corset ballgown by Naeem Khan. Harper’s Bazaar described a royal-blue strapless dress with a pointed neckline and train, styled with a diamond necklace, bracelet, hoop earrings, and a clutch. These are the outlets’ descriptions of the outfit; the reports do not establish a specific garment model, price, or whether it was custom-made.

Beyoncé won Album of the Year for Cowboy Carter, and Blue stood beside her during the onstage celebration. The Recording Academy’s account says Beyoncé was stunned by the news and ascended the stage with Blue. The Associated Press also reported that Blue hugged her mother onstage.

In her acceptance speech, Beyoncé said, “I just feel very full and very honored,” then thanked the Grammys and the songwriters, collaborators, producers, and others whose work contributed to the album. The Recording Academy noted that this was her first Album of the Year win after six earlier nominations in the category. After the ceremony, Beyoncé told Entertainment Tonight, in comments reported by Good Morning America: “[Blue] is taller than me, I don’t like it at all!” She also said she was happy Blue had been there and thanked her younger daughter, Rumi, who was watching and appears on the album.
