1. Bethenny Frankel — Skinnygirl
From a Housewives-era launch to a wider brand
TIME reports that Frankel launched the first Skinnygirl Margarita during the second season of The Real Housewives of New York City in 2009. Bravo identifies her as the brand’s founder and CEO and describes the business as part of her Housewives career. Skinnygirl therefore fits the rule for a business launched during television tenure.

TIME’s 2022 account says Frankel sold the Skinnygirl cocktail line to Beam Global in 2011 for a reported $100 million, while retaining the right to use the Skinnygirl name on non-alcohol products. That reported transaction concerned the cocktail line—not every product carrying the brand name, and not Frankel’s take-home earnings.
What the sales figure does—and does not—show
Entrepreneur reported in 2025 that Skinnygirl shapewear, salad dressings, popcorn and coffee reached $1 billion in retail sales. That is the publication’s reported retail-sales figure for those categories; it is not an audited revenue figure, a sale price, or a measure of Frankel’s personal income. The sale price and retail-sales figure describe different things from different years, so neither should be treated as a direct comparison with the other Housewives’ business indicators.

Burruss’s official profile lists Kandi Koated Entertainment, Bedroom Kandi, Kandi Koated Beauty, Old Lady Gang and Blaze Steak & Seafood restaurants, and TAGS apparel boutiques. It is the broadest documented portfolio among the businesses in this ranking, spanning entertainment, beauty, intimate products, restaurants and retail.

Bedroom Kandi’s official page identifies Burruss as its founder and lists intimate toys and accessories, bath and body products, beauty and personal care, and cosmetics. These categories establish the scope of the brand’s published offering; they do not establish sales, profitability or current availability at a particular marketplace.
How to read the consultant count
Kandi.com reports 2,500 Bedroom Kandi consultants across the country. The profile does not establish when that count was measured or whether it remains current. It is evidence of a reported consultant network, not a sales or revenue figure, and cannot be compared directly with Skinnygirl’s reported retail sales.

3. Lisa Vanderpump — hospitality and branded goods
Restaurants alongside consumer products
Vanderpump’s documented business activities span hospitality and branded products. A 2024 Caesars Entertainment announcement marked the grand opening of Wolf by Vanderpump at Harveys Lake Tahoe. The announcement also listed Vanderpump Wines, Vanderpump Vodka, Vanderpump Sangria, a pet-accessories line, and a lighting and furniture collection among her other endeavors. The Vanderpump family-brand site describes wines and other family ventures.
Together, those sources show a range of named activities rather than comparable financial performance. The announcement documents a venue opening in 2024; it does not establish that a restaurant or product remains available now. Check an official venue or brand source for current locations and offerings before making plans to visit or buy.

A separate measure: charitable work
The 2024 Caesars announcement said the Vanderpump Dog Foundation had rescued more than 2,300 dogs domestically, plus hundreds internationally, as of that announcement. That dated figure describes reported charitable impact by the foundation. It is not a measure of business sales or commercial success and does not affect the ranking on those terms.
4. Heather Thomson — Yummie
A brand that predates its television-era expansion
Bravo identifies Thomson as the creator of Yummie by Heather Thomson and describes the brand’s development from an original three-panel shapewear tank into bras, underwear, denim, leggings and activewear. Its loungewear line launched in 2015. The available account documents historical product expansion, but does not establish that The Real Housewives of New York City created the brand.
Bravo’s account supports Yummie’s place on a list of businesses started by a Housewife, but it does not supply sales, profit or valuation figures. Nor does the available material establish the brand’s present operating status. That limits what can responsibly be claimed about its current scale.
Which Real Housewives businesses are still around?
Public brand and company pages provide some evidence of ongoing activity, but a listed product range or portfolio is not the same as independently verified, current trading activity.
