The final five of Survivor 46 were Ben Katzman, Charlie Davis, Kenzie Petty, Liz Wilcox, and Maria Gonzalez. Kenzie went on to win the season, beating Charlie 5–3 at Final Tribal Council; Ben received no votes. The endgame turned on a shifting vote, a fire-making contest, and the jury’s choice among three very different routes to the final.

Who made the final five?

The five were Ben Katzman, Charlie Davis, Kenzie Petty, Liz Wilcox, and Maria Gonzalez. CBS’s episode guide identifies episode 12, “Mamma Bear,” which aired May 15, 2024, as the contest for immunity and a place in the final five. Episode 13, “Friends Going to War,” aired May 22 and began with five castaways still in the game. CBS’s episode guide establishes that progression.

That roster matters because the endgame was not simply a straight march from five players to the final three. The vote around Maria reshaped the group, and the remaining players still had to survive the last immunity challenge and the fire-making stage before the jury could choose a winner.

How the endgame changed the field

The vote around Maria

The strategic story of this stretch centers on competing plans around the vote that eliminated Maria. The episode recap describes players weighing different options, but the outcome alone does not establish that one person controlled every part of the decision. It is more accurate to see the vote as a test of how the remaining players managed their options as the game narrowed. Inside Survivor’s episode recap provides the strategic context.

From five to the final three

Ben, Charlie, and Kenzie reached Final Tribal Council. Liz lost the fire-making contest before the final jury vote, while Maria had already been eliminated. The verified outcome makes the final stretch easy to track, even though it does not by itself tell us precisely what each player intended or which jurors were persuaded by which arguments. True Dork Times’ episode 13 box score records the final-three and fire-making outcomes.

Why Kenzie won Survivor 46

Kenzie defeated Charlie by a 5–3 vote; Ben received zero votes, for a final tally of 5–3–0. TV Insider reported Kenzie’s win and the 5–3 result, and True Dork Times lists the full tally. TV Insider’s finale recap and the episode box score support the result.

The finalists’ cases can be compared through three useful lenses: strategic decisions, the route each took to the final three, and the relationships they built with the jury. The outcome confirms that Kenzie’s case received the most support, while Charlie finished three votes behind and Ben received none. The available vote reporting does not provide a verified, complete explanation of each juror’s reasoning, so assigning particular motives to individual ballots would go beyond what the published tally establishes.
