Brandi Glanville said her medical costs had topped $70,000 as she sought answers for recurring facial swelling and speech problems. In December 2024, she said some doctors had raised the possibility of a “new parasite,” but the reporting did not establish that she had one. A later report said she received a diagnosis in December 2025, but did not disclose its cause.
What did Glanville say the $70,000 covered?
In a December 2024 interview with Entertainment Tonight, Glanville estimated that her medical costs had exceeded $70,000. The Los Angeles Times reported that she said the expenses included medication, doctor visits, MRIs, X-rays and CT scans. She separately estimated that lab work had cost $10,000, according to a January 2026 Us Weekly timeline recounting the interview. Both figures are her reported estimates, not independently audited totals or general measures of medical costs.
Glanville described recurring facial swelling and difficulty speaking. She said the condition had affected her daily life: “I’ve been on meds this whole year. I don’t socialize. I don’t go out,” she told Entertainment Tonight, as quoted by the Los Angeles Times.
Was a facial parasite confirmed?
No confirmed parasite diagnosis appears in the reporting cited here. In 2024, Glanville said some doctors had suggested a possible “new parasite,” but she also said no doctor had given her a definitive explanation at that point. The word “parasite” therefore describes a suspected possibility in her account, not an established cause.

Glanville speculated that she might have contracted something while filming The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip in Morocco, and said her symptoms began about six months later. That is her proposed timeline and theory; it does not establish that an exposure occurred or caused her symptoms.
What did she later say about receiving a diagnosis?
A January 2026 Us Weekly timeline reports that Glanville said in July 2025 she was “finally getting answers.” It also says she told TMZ on December 5, 2025, that she had received a diagnosis. The report does not identify the diagnosis or say what caused her condition, so it does not confirm that a parasite was involved.

What happened when she tried Nair on her face?
In August 2025, Glanville posted a TikTok showing what the Los Angeles Times described as apparent chemical burns after she applied Nair to her face in an attempt to address what she called a parasite. She said, “But I overdid it … seven minutes, don’t do it.” This was an unsuccessful personal experiment with an adverse outcome, not evidence that Nair treats a parasite or facial condition, and not a treatment recommendation.
