Burrell died on June 17, 2025, aged 55, according to the Associated Press. Flay shared his remembrance the following day, June 18, according to E! News and Access Hollywood.
Burrell’s work on Food Network
Burrell was a chef and television personality whose career included 27 seasons on Worst Cooks in America, the Associated Press reported. Food Network described her as “a remarkable person and culinary talent,” praising her teaching, competition appearances, and the way she shared “the joy that a delicious meal can bring,” in a statement reproduced by the AP.
