Cedella Marley, CEO of the Bob Marley Group of Companies, said the milestone was a chance to honor her father’s work and unite fans. She highlighted songs including “Forever Loving Jah,” “Coming In From The Cold,” “Could You Be Loved” and “Redemption Song.”

A worldwide school and family singalong
Young Voices and the Bob & Rita Marley Foundation invited students and families to sing a specially arranged “Marley Magic” medley, including “One Love,” “Jamming’” and “Three Little Birds.” The planned event streamed from Co-op Live Arena in Manchester.
Universal Music Canada described an 8,000-strong Young Voices choir at the arena and reported that Young Voices UK and Young Voices USA had more than 250,000 children taking part, alongside participants elsewhere in the world. These were figures in the company’s 2025 announcement, not independently audited counts in the cited material.

SiriusXM birthday radio
SiriusXM’s Bob Marley’s Tuff Gong Radio, channel 19, announced special birthday programming that included the “Uprising” livestream, rare recordings, music by Marley family members, guest DJ Smokey Robinson and birthday messages. The announcement said the programming would be available in the SiriusXM app starting February 7, 2025; that is a historical availability statement, not confirmation that the program remains accessible.
Which documentary and music releases extended the celebration?
MARLEY documentary editions
Ziggy Marley’s Tuff Gong Worldwide announced a streaming re-release of the documentary MARLEY and an 80th Collector’s Edition DVD with two hours of previously unseen interviews. The label said the DVD would be available in April 2025 through Amazon and independent film and music retailers. Uprising anniversary vinyl
A June 2025 follow-up announced a limited liquid-sunshine vinyl edition of Uprising, marking the album’s 45th anniversary, as well as four episodes of “Bob Marley & I.” The vinyl was presented as a special physical edition with a distinctive finish and cover; the announcement supports a 2025 presale, not present-day availability. Universal Music Canada’s February 2025 announcement also said that one-quarter of reggae listened to in the United States was Bob Marley’s, that Legend had recently been re-certified 18-times platinum by the RIAA, and that it ranked as the 14th-best-selling album of all time and the third-best-selling greatest-hits package in U.S. history. These are label-reported claims in that announcement; it provides no underlying listening methodology for the one-quarter figure, and its “recently” wording reflects the announcement’s 2025 timing.

For a retrospective, the clearest distinction is between the February kickoff and the releases announced later in the anniversary year. The livestream, radio and singalong were scheduled events; the DVD and vinyl were physical-release announcements. None of the cited 2025 schedules or availability statements establishes what can be watched, heard or purchased today. The official Bob Marley news index lists further 2025 anniversary items, including a documentary theatrical return, “Bob Marley Hope Road” and a PBS concert program.
